Our project title, “Good educational practices with MOOC in the field of education: course analysis and proposal for improvement”, reflects its dual purpose. On the one hand, those MOOCs in Spanish with a pedagogical or educational content have been analysed. On the other hand, such analysis has allowed us to make proposals to improve the MOOC devising process; improvements that are relevant from an educational perspective.

It is a Teaching Innovation project in a double sense. First of all, it is developed within the framework of Undergraduate and Graduate university teaching at the learning faculties of Cantabria and Oviedo universities. Also, it involves students from different educational subjects in the reflection and analysis of the MOOCs. It is a work focused on improving university teaching using this activity as an excuse to open a debate among teachers and external observers about the carrying out of the lessons.

At the same time, teaching innovation is present, as well, in the ultimate sense which guides the project, that is to carry out an analysis of educational MOOCs to make proposals for their improvement.

The project, which lasted a year, was funded by the Vice-chancellorship for Academic Management and Faculty from the University of Cantabria within the framework of its II Teaching Innovation Competition.

The project team is made up of faculty and researchers from the University of Cantabria and Oviedo Faculty of Learning and Faculty of Learning and Teacher Training, respectively.
